So unless you clicked on this group with wild abandon before reading the title or the description I will now just basically repeat myself with some added goodies :P

This group is to promote the need felt by many within dA for an option for artist's to design, print and sell their own t-shirts through the same system as we already use for magnets, calendars, screen prints etc.

DeviantArt to an extent does this with it selling it's own shirts and also the odd contest which ends with one lucky artist having their design also printed and sold to the dA community shirt-style.

Many people assume that this has not yet been implemented because shirts have to be done in bulk in order for any profit to be made, however this is simply not true with Direct To Garment printing available and with the resources that dA already have we could very well see T-shirt prints available for everyone in 2013.

So if you feel like this is a good idea please join, and feel free to post any cool designs you have for your own  t-shirt graphics, they just might convince other people that this is a great idea too ;)

As an artist I dream of owning my own DTG printer because I am not so interested in producing a product as I am creating art.  The idea of being able to print a photo quality image onto apparel without the screen printing process sounds amazing.  These machines are expensive though. It's kind of a catch 22.  The DTG's allow you really test the market for a design before creating a larger run of the more succesful images.  idk...

Anybody know a good place to outsource printing to?
